The Rev H.Ellershaw receives into his house 12 young gentleman, to board, and to instruct in the Greek and Latin languages, and the various branches of a mathematical, commercial, and polite English education
Terms per annum
Young gentleman under 10 years of age………..30 guineas
ditto above 10, and under 12 ditto………………..35 guineas
ditto above 12 years of age………………………….. 40 guineas
washing…………………………………………………………….. 3 guineas
use of the globes……………………………………………… 2 guineas
Entrance Two guineas
German, French, drawing, dancing etc on the usual terms .
Each young gentleman to bring within his own sheets, towels, pillowcases, and a silver table spoon and fork.
No extras except for books
A quarter’s notice of pay for that period prior to the removal of a pupil
The village of Conisbrough, almost proverbial for its salubrity, and its picturesque scenery, is situated on a delightful eminence,five miles from Doncaster, on the line of road thence to Sheffield, and the Swinton Station on the North Midland Railway, to and from which numerous coaches pass and re-pass daily.
