Who´s master?
At the West ridingPolice Courton Saturday, John Jackson, landlord of the Fox Inn, Conisbrough, was charged with being drunk in his own house and creating a disturbance there.
On the 20 ult. Defendant went home the worse for drink, and picked a quarrel with his wife; she, in the excitement, threw some hot water over him, and then he then knocked her down and she was slightly cut by the fall.
The police were sent for, and the happy couple were quietened.
A constable now stated the defendant’s house was not very well managed, but the fact of the matter was “t´missis was t´mester.”
Fined 20s. and 15s. Costs.
