Alleged Bicycle Thefts

A Conisborough boy (15) summoned on Wednesday at Doncaster for stealing three bicycle was stated to be on probation for another offence.

Two other Conisborough boys, aged 15 and 16, were accused of stealing and receiving stolen property.

Superintendent Huddlestone stated that on September 1, two of the boys went to the Conisborough Cliff quarries and took a bicycle from a shed. They took it well away from the premises and after taking the parts required, smashed up the remainder of the machine.

Later at Edlington they stole a new machine. The following day the boys went to Warmsworth and stole a bicycle, changing the wheels from one machine to another.

The bench decided to adjourn the case for a fortnight.
