Bentley  Colliery 149 for 9  Denaby and Cadeby 145

There were scenes of excitement at Bentley when, in a thrilling finish, Colliery gained their sixth successive win by beating Denaby and Cadeby by a wicket.

Denaby batted first and made 145. With only four wickets down for 103— thanks to a fine 55 by W Renshaw – Bentley appeared  to have the match well in hand. They were nine wickets down, however, when they past Denaby score

For Bentley, Broadhead took six lor 59; for Denaby, Porter five for 30.
