Children’s concert

A largely attended children’s concert was held in the mission room of the parish church, Loversall Street, on Thursday evening last. The chairman was the vicar Rev W. W. Greaves.

The program was given by the mission scholars, the first have been performed by children under seven years of age, the items well merited the applause they received. The children had been trained by Miss Powell, upon whom great credit was reflected for the indefatigable way she had worked to make the affair such a huge success.

The work behind the scenes of dressing the children for the parts was carried out by Mrs. G. Freestone.
