Children’s Trip

One of the largest outings organised from the Conisbrough station since the war took place on Tuesday when the children of members of the Denaby Annerley Street Institute had their outing to Cleethorpes.

14 coaches were required on the train to accommodate the trippers who included children and parents and arrangements had been made by the secretary (Mr A Hibbard and committee.

Funds were raised by weekly subscription from members and other efforts made throughout the year from which each child received five shillings and each adult member £1.
