Keeping Nazis Away

Gunner Daniel Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Cook, of 20, Cusworth Street, Denaby Main, is one of the men at present keeping the Nazi planes at bay.

He is in an anti-aircraft unit which is at present being “kept Busy”.

Gunner Cook was educated at Conisborough Station road and Middle schools, and was a collier at Cadeby Colliery before joining up a week before war broke out.

He is 19, and was home on leave a few weeks ago.
