Cruelty to a Pony.

Robert Stevenson, driver, Conisboro’, was summoned by the Denaby Main Colliery Co for cruelty to a pony, at Sprotboro’, on the 19th ult.

Defendant appeared, and pleaded guilty.

Mr. F. Allen again prosecuted, and stated as the defendant has pleaded guilty he would only detail the offence. On the day in question the defendant was seen by a deputy to deliberately kick the animal just above the fetlock, and when spoken to about it he said he “would – well do it again.” – John Burness corroborated.

Fined £1, including the costs.
