Miss Veronica Vail, A.R.A.D., M.I.S.T.D., of ‘Cambourne,’ Elm Green Lane, a member of the Sadler’s Wells Ballet Company, recently had the honour of appearing before the King and Queen at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, in the ballet, ‘The Sleeping Princess.’

In April she appears with the Company at the Paris Opera House, and in June a visit is being paid to Sweden.

Miss Vail, who will be 19 in May, was educated privately and at Conisbrough Modern School and subsequently spent three years at a well-known dancing school, evacuated from London to Boxmoor, Herts. She began her professional career early in 1945 when she joined the Anglo-Polish Ballet for a six-months season, which included a tour of 26 towns and several visits to London.

She joined the Sadler’s Wells Company in November. Miss Vail has been dancing since she was 10 years of age.
