Denaby and Cadeby cricket club, on their annual tour, enjoyed splendid weather and some good cricket, with the exception of their match at Mansfield on the Saturday.
On Monday there were entertained by Leamington, whom they defeated.

A feature of the tour was the brilliant batting of our Arthur Vollans. He, with G. Worthington, played with Leamington against the Worcestershire gentleman. Leamington had to get 228 runs to win in 160 minutes. Vollans, and Rutter of Leamington, who were the opening batsmen, knocked off the runs. Vollans played a brilliant innings, scoring 131 not out. Worthington took six wickets for 52 runs in one innings, and seven for 53 in the other.

When the tourists played Keeble College Capt Higgins and Kennedy were prominent with the ball. Denaby made the comparatively poor score of 121, but through good bowling and fielding, they won the game Capt Higgins took over six wickets for 25, and Kennedy free for five in seven overs.
