Made It Look Easy.
Denaby Win at Thorncliffe.
Thorncliffe 123 Denaby and Cadeby 124 for 3
Showery weather and not an easy wicket on which to get runs, had much to do last Saturday with their low score hit by Thorncliffe on their Chapeltown ground against Denaby and Cadeby.
Thorncliffe lost four wickets to Newton and only a useful innings by E. Pearson (42, caught and bowled Newton), helped the team to muster 123, Newton had 4 for 36.
Denaby found runs far more easy to come by. Dick Cory carried his bat after knocking 63 runs and was well helped by P. Downing, who with 48 saw the Denaby reply 124 for 3.
