Denaby Loss of Good Friend

Denaby Main people lost a good friend yesterday by the departure to Nottingham of Miss Evelyn Rimmington, of Tickhill street, Denaby, who retired in 1935 after 38 years’ service as a member of the Staff of Denaby Main School, first as an assistant, later as senior assistant in the girls’ department, and finally as headmistress of the same department.

Miss Rimmington, who had 3,000 children pass through her hands during her long teaching career, was headmistress for 16 vears, and was for a number of years member of Mexborough Congregational Church Choir, and a Sunday school teacher.
