Denaby Main Church
A Minister Appointed

The Rev. R. P. Roseveare will relinquish his duties at Denaby Main at the end of August, and will be succeeded by the Rev. Joseph Brooks, of S. Anthony’s, London, who will enter upon his duties as curate-in-charge on Sunday, August 30th.

The rev. gentleman has already visited Denaby Main, having conducted services there a few weeks ago, and made a good impression amongst those who had the pleasure of hearing him.

He will reside, we understand, at the present residence of the Rev. R. P. Roseveare, viz: – The vicarage, Old Denaby, on the latter’s removal to Great Snoring with Thursford.

Coming from a very populous part of London, the Rev. Mr. Brookes is considered to be well qualified to continue the work which has been so very ably and assiduously carried on by the Rev R. P. Roseveare at Denaby Main.

The appointment is virtually in the hands of Mr. W. H. Chambers, whose efforts on behalf of good work at Denaby Main are well known, and extend beyond the limits of one particular church or denomination.

The church workers and parishioners propose to give to the Rev. R. P. Roseveare a testimonial before his departure from amongst them.
