Ardron Hat-trick

Denaby United  4  Manvers Main  1

ARDRON, Denaby’s centre-half, gave them an interval lead of one goal after dribbling the ball halfway down the field.

Manvers tried hard to equalise, but were held out by a strong Denaby defence.  BETTS equalised for Manvers in the second half.  Denaby then took control and ARDRON scored two more goals, BURKINSHAW netting a fourth.

Afterwards the game was fast and exciting but neither side were able to score again.

Manvers were well served by Betts, Philips and Newey, while Ardron and Burkinshaw were outstanding for Denaby.
