Visiting Goalkeepers Good Display.

Denaby United  6  Thurcroft Main  5

There were plenty of goals at Tickhill Square when Denaby United defeated Thurcroft by the odd goal in 11 in a game in which Denaby missed numerous chances.

Thurcroft, who included Jack Wright, a former Mexborough favourite, had to thank the deputy goalkeeper for saving them from a heavy defeat. His display was outstanding. He made many marvellous save from all angles.

Denaby made two defensive mistakes which lead to goals been scored, otherwise the entire defence players did well. Hoyland was the star forward while Fleetwood, and Gibbs also did well.

The scorers for Denaby, were: Fleetwood (4) and Shephard (2), while for Thurcroft Oxridge (3), Wright (2) and Juggins scored.
