Peterborough United 3 Denaby United 4

Denaby splendid performances in the Middle and League have carried them to 12th Place in the league tables on equal points with Scunthorpe. To win 4-3 at Peterborough after being a couple of goals down was a first class feat and completed a trio of successes which should lend them a good deal of confidence for their rearranged fixture with Rotherham United Reserve at Tickill Square tomorrow afternoon. Denaby lost 2-1 at Millmoor in September.

They have scored 12 goals in their last three matches, three against Scarborough, five against Ollerton, and four against Peterborough.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Denaby United won the third Midland league game in a row by winning 4-3 at Peterborough.

Following an unsuccessful appeal for a goal in the opening stages, Peterborough scored in the ninth minute through Padgett. Rudkin put them further ahead when he worked the ball from a pass by Madin, and Uren, the Denaby goalkeeper, turned his oblique shot into the net.

Denaby were dangerous in a fast break, Carver scoring after 20 minutes. Denaby equalised when Wright rushed through and beat Silcox for the ball.

After 35 minutes Peterborough regained the lead when Bayliss beat Turner and Asquith to score.

Denaby equalised through Hurley, and Haller got the winner in the second half.
