Assault at Conisborough.

Arthur Maguire, miner, Denaby, was fined £2, including costs, at Doncaster, Saturday, for assaulting Wm Wilson on the 19th inst. The parties were playing at cards when the defendant suddenly complained of being cheated. sprang and knocked Wilson down, repeating the blows; the man received a broken wrist by the fall.

Defendant said first assaulted, but this denied.

Drunk on Licensed Premises At Conisborough

At the West Riding Court on Saturday, James Young, miner, new Conisbro, was fined 10s. and costs, for being drunk the Station Hotel on the 8th July.

Police Sgt Brown proved the case.

The landlord was from home, and his son said had ordered the man away, and had rot supplied him with any liquor.
