Gaming with coins at Conisborough.

Fred Crowson, miner, and Lawrence Varley, a pony driver, both of New Conisborough were charged with gaming cards, at Conisborough, on 20 July.

Crowson, who appeared, pleaded guilty.

PC cousans stated that at 5-5 p.m. on 20 July, he was on duty on a public highway at Conisborough when he saw the two defendants with another youth named Woodward gaming with cards. He watched them and saw money change hands.

Varley was fined 5/– and the costs 8/6 and Crowson 2/6 and 6/6.
