More Runs – and Nine Wickets
Denaby’s return match with Tankersley at Tankersley on Saturday provided Irvin Greenwood with another opportunity to carry on his wonderful record for the season and he seized in no uncertain way.
Not satisfied with adding 62 to his 615 Council runs this season, he suddenly took on the role of Demon bowler and took nine wickets for 23 runs and hit the stumps three times.
He and Tibbles contributed 50 for the first wicket before Tibbles was bowled.
Denaby won handsomely by 105 runs.
