Bentley Colliery v Denaby Main

At Bentley yesterday, Denaby batted first and with only five on the board Tibbles played on. There was a fine second wicket partnership, however, the score being carried to 138 before Narraway was out. Greenwood, his partner, during the innings, left with one run added, but afterwards Worthington played a useful innings, and Denaby declared at 200 for six.

The pitch was excellent, but against the bowling of Worthington, Bentley wickets fell pretty fast and half the side were out for 73. White and Wagstaff put up a stand for the ninth wicket. They brought about several changes, and off Tibbles White was caught. The last two Bentley wickets put on over 40. Denaby won by 62. Scores:-
