Fatal Accident at Denaby Main Colliery

About three o’clock on Wednesday morning, a man named Lewis Calodine was engaging removing a prop in the above colliery, when the roof suddenly gave way, and fell upon him, crushing him in a dreadful manner.

He was at once conveyed to Doncaster infirmary, where he died sometime during the same night.

Deceased leaves a wife and several children.
