Private Walter Lidster
(Yorks Regiment)

Private Walter Lidster, son of Mr Mr Walter Lidster, 14 Clifton Hill, died of wounds in France on November 4.

Private Lidster enlisted in April, and was killed in less than a month from landing in France.

He was 23 years of age and previous to enlistment worked at Cadeby.

His elder brother, private John Lidster (tank corps) enlisted last September, and was until then employed by messes Walker and Crawshaw, Conisbrough.
