George F. Mattock
A Missing Denaby soldier

The smart looking specimen of a soldier is George F. Mattock, of the second Battalion, York and Lancaster’s, who previous to enlisting in March 1940, resided with his parents at 51 Balby Street, Denaby.

He has been in the firing line some months nowand unfortunately these people have lost all trace of him recently, having had all their communication returned by the authorities.

Mattocks is only 19 years of age. Should this paragraph come before the notice of any soldier knows anything concerning matter, they will be doing a great kindness by writing direct to the editor of the “Times” or to MattockĀ“s parents, who are naturally very anxious concerning his safety.
