All In The Second Half

Newark Town 4 Denaby United 0

Newark Town had a convincing second victory over Denaby United in their game at Tickhill Square on Monday.

Scrappy play on both sides produced a drab display, brightened only for short spells by individual feats
A high wind, which Denaby failed to harness in the first half, also helped to weigh the scales.

Denaby had a strong defender in J Williams, and Bates was a good worker in the forward line.

The first half was in Denaby’s favour and L. Williamshad early chances but failed to make use of them, and at the other end Adams and Skaith also failed to score. Denaby’s attack lacked sparkle and there was little corporation between the forwards.

Newark kept their goal intact in the first half, and the second half, after 55 min,Ranshaw give them the lead. Searby netted their second goal with a neat header and Scott made their score four with two lightning goals just before the final whistle.
