Nurse Brighton.

The Fullerton Hospital Board of Management have decided to appoint Nurse Brighton (the senior nurse) to the position of sister in charge, vacant by the retirement of Sister Steele.

Sister Brighton has been at the Fullerton hospital 11 years and has for the last four years been the senior charge nurse. She is efficient and capable and though strict and straight at the performance of her duties, has a bright and cheerful disposition, which has endeared her to those who of necessity have been inmates of the hospital.

Sister Brighton hails from Normanton. She commenced her three years training at the Doncaster Royal infirmary in 1923. This is completed in February 1926 and from then until her appointment at the Fullerton hospital in September 1926, she carried out staff duties at the same institution. In 1932, when charge nurse at the Fullerton hospital, she left to take a midwifery course
