Presentation to Conisbrough Man

There were pleasing ceremonies at the head offices of Messrs. Yorkshire Tar Distillers Ltd., at Cleckheaton on Monday, when Mr. T. W. Howard, of Castle View, Doncaster Road, Conisbrough, whose retirement was reported in our last issue, was the recipient of gifts from the directors and the staff.

In the morning Mr. Howard received a gold wristlet watch from the directors, for whom the presentation was made by Mr. Henry Ellison, a former chairman of the Board, and in the afternoon Mr. V. Morgan, secretary of the company, presented a silver cigarette case on behalf of the staff.

At both gatherings reference was made to Mr. Howard’s devoted service for the company, and Mr. Howard suitably replied.
