Public Nuisance at Conisbrough

William Johnson, Harry Brammer, Joseph Brammer, Alfred Booker, Arthur Holland, Sidney Wellings, Edward Peters, and W. Smith, all pony drivers, of New Conisbrough, were summoned for playing bounce ball to the danger of the public.

PC Cousans said that at 4:30 PM he was on duty in Doncaster Road, new Conisbrough, and July 2, when he saw the defendants playing bounce ball at Edlington Street corner; by so doing they were obstructing the footpath.

The following fines were imposed: – J. Brammer 2/6, Wellings 2/–, Holland 1/–, Peters 2/–, Smith 2/–, H. Brammer 1/–, Johnson 2/6 and Booker 2/6, the costs in each case being 9/–.
