Roads – Urban Powers

The majority of our roads are in an exceedingly dirty condition at present, Northcliffe Road, at the bottom of Athelstane and Ivanhoe Road, is abominable.

It’s the sort of road you would expect to find in this country 500, or 1,000 years ago.

Will our rural district councillors please take note of this fact. They might also note that the general condition of the roads shows that we do not get anything like the return we ought to the amount of contributions to the council, and that the other parishes have “a good thing on”, as long as they can keep Conisborough in a position we occupy at present.

Moral: “Urban Powers.”
