Scrambling For Coins. 

For committing a breach of the County  Council by-laws throwing money  from motor-car at Denaby Crossing on  one the Doncaster race days, a party  of four Wath-on-Dearne men. who were  returning from the races, were each  fined 20s. at Doncaster yesterday, and two  others from Swinton 25s. each.

A constable said crowd of about 200  children had gathered in the roadway  and were scrambling for coins thrown  the defendants. They had great difficulty  in preventing them from being run  over by the following traffic.
