Shocking accident to a Collier at Denaby

On Wednesday, a serious accident befell a man named John Constantine, aged 26 years, employed as a Collier at Denaby.

He was at work getting coal, when the roof fell in and crushed him in a fearful manner.

He was extricated as soon as possible and conveyed at once to the Doncaster infirmary. Here it was found necessary to amputate one of his legs
