Wounded

Mrs Taylor, 64 Doncaster Road, I received news from her son, private or Taylor (York and Lancs) that he was wounded in the head and leg on June 18 and and is in hospital in France.

Private jail is 24 years of age, and enlisted November 14, 1915. He took part in the Gallipoli fighting, and they contracted dysentery. He lay in a critical state for weeks in hospital at Malta.

He was invalided home to England, and became an inmate successively of the Oxford and Eastbourne hospitals. On his recovery he paid a shop business to Conisborough. Soon after his furlough he was drafted to France, and is now in the base hospital making satisfactory progress.
