Old Denaby Brothers

Mr and Mrs Herbert Evans, of the Bungalow, old Denaby, gave both their sons to the Army.

The elder, Walter (top picture), was shot through the skull bone on April 6 1916, and has since been discharged from the Army.

He is now serving his old Colonel (also retired) as his chauffeur at Oswestry.

The younger son, Francis Horace Evans (bottom picture), only 20 years of age, is in the Royal Flying Corps, and has just going out to France as pilot Sergeant.

He returned from France six months ago, to take up a special course of study in aviation.
