Mexborough and Swinton Times December 21, 1907
The footpath over the North Cliff Hills is in a very dirty and treacherous state, and really ought to be attended to if it is to benefit the public generally.
Some time ago Mr. Norwood complained that the footpath took up nearly an acre of land which he rented, and it is not surprising. The path is as wide as a good-sized cart-road, most of its length, and even then to walk safely one must take to the grass.
If the path was’ properly made, and made less than half the width, it would greatly improve it and also remove Mr. Norwood’s grievance.
