A Strike Imminent

On Monday the whole of the forms of notice for the miners of Yorkshire were forwarded to the men’s leaders of the various pits.

It was resolved, it will be remembered, that the whole of the notices should be given a one time for the purpose of obtaining the advance, and if the men act up to the resolution, all the notices will be given this week throughout the all of South and West Yorkshire.

Each man will have to sign and hand in his own notice, and no compulsion will in any case be used, so that the men have the opportunity of acting as they choose.

Both the fortnightly and monthly notices have been given this week, so that before the Parliamentary elections are over the whole of the miners in Yorkshire may be on strike.
