Terrific Storm at New Conisborough.

Last Friday night, about 6 PM, a terrific storm was experienced at New Conisborough.

A house, situated at 34, Wadsworth Street, was struck by lightning, and the inmates had a marvellous escape. The landlord of the house, Mr. Gibson, who is only in delicate health, and others in the house, were all in one room when the lightning struck the building.

The current came down the chimney and left a mark in the centre of the occupied room. The roof was partly stripped.
