The Fatal Accident to a Pit Sinker

There was a crowded attendance at the Catholic Church and in the churchyard when the last solemn rites were performed over the body of Martin O’Hara, a pit sinker, who was accidentally killed whilst at work in the new sinkings at Brodsworth last Friday.

Deceased, prior to going to Brodsworth, worked at the Cadeby colliery, and lived at Denaby, where he was interred on Monday.

A large concourse of people were present, as the deceased was well known here.
