Ivanhoe Cycling Club

A party of 13 members of Conisbrough Ivanhoe C. C. spent the Easter holidays on a four-day tour of the Yorkshire Dales, visiting most of the famous beauty spots of the Dales, including Hardraw force, Malham Cove, Whitescar Cave, near Ingleton, and the Stump Cross Cavern near Grassington.

Part of the route was across Mastiles Lane, a moorland track from Malham to Kilnsey. Overnight stops were at the youth hostels at Keld, Ingleton and Kettlewell.

The attendance on the club run to Otley was the smallest for some time only seven members completing the run. Tea was taken at Wentbridge.

Sunday’s club run to Newark (tea Edwinstowe) will start from the Red Lion Hotel at 9 am

On Sunday the club promote the second annual open 25 miles T. T. (Under R. T. T. C. Regulations), and entered are many of the district’s fastest time trialists also the Liverpool international rider, N Shiel, who last year won the British and Empire games 4000 metres individual pursuit championship and was placed third in the world championship in Germany
