These clubs met at Hunslet. The first half was splendidly contested, each 11 playing an equal part in attack and defence, the interval arriving without any score.
The second portion of the game was slightly in favour of Hunslet, their forwards putting in some telling work, but half site play through away several goals.
At length, Tierney brought a forward movement to a successful issue after receiving a long pass from Eggington.
Crowcroft equalised for Denaby shortly after, the Hunslet goalkeeper badly clearing a previous shot. Hunslet afterwards strove mightily to drop in the lead again, but failed, the game ending in a draw.
