Denaby Churches – Annual Treat to Scarborough

Mr James Hawkins, farmer, Old Denaby, has kindly presented the Denaby Mission church choir with a complete set of cathedral psalters.

The choir of the Denaby Main and Old Denaby mission churches had their annual treat last Wednesday to Scarborough. A most enjoyable day was spent.

The arrangements were satisfactorily carried out by the Rev. W. M. Probert, curate, and Mr Cranidge, churchwarden, the whole being under the supervision of the Rev. H. Michelle, vicar. The following gentlemen have kindly subscribed towards the trip: – the Rev. H. Ellershaw. Rev C. G. Fullerton, Rev W. M. Probert, Rev W. Horsfall, Dr Sykes, Messrs Chambers, Cranidge, Bennett, Slater, Meggitt, Elliott and Ellin.
