Good for Staveley.
Denaby Beaten By Four Goals to Two

Staveley 4, Denaby United 2.

Denaby failed to give a very convincing display at Staveley, who were deservedly victors, on a greasy ground.

Staveley opened attacking strongly, and Claypole had to save from Pearce and Meads. Ogley, the Denaby left back miskicked and Pearce sent in header, which was cleared. Soon afterwards Claypole fisted out from Frisby, and the ball went to Eggleshaw, who scored with swift return.

A couple of minutes later good work between Pearce and Meads ended in Pearce increasing Staveley’s lead. After 30 minutes a foul against Lack gave Green a chance, and he opened Denaby s account.

Meads scored a third for Staveley. Riley replied for Denaby, but Adlington scored Staveley’s fourth
