A Denaby Resignation.

Ex-Servicemen and other dependents at Denaby are losing the services of a friend this week by the resignation of Mr. T. Oxley, as secretary of the British Legion Club, voluntary worker for Doncaster Pensions Committee, and secretary of the United Services Club and other benevolent funds for the district.

Mr. Oxley served with the Colours for 14 years and throughout the war.

He took on the secretaryship of the club when he was demobilised in 1919, and in 1921 he was elected a member of the first Conisborough Urban Council and the Doncaster Board of Guardians.

Well-known as rifleman, he was a member of the Worcester Queen Victoria team in 1912, and has won many prizes with his marksmanship.

For period he was a member of the Denaby United Football Club Committee. Mr. Oxley is relinquishing his voluntary positions.
