Milk Bottles That Roll

Denaby Street Is So Steep

Balby Street, Denaby, is so steep that scores of milk bottles often topple from lorries delivering milk to Balby Street. Junior School, Coun. J. Prendergast told Conisbrough Primary Schools Managers last night.

“On five or six occasions I have seen 40 to 50 bottles of milk crash into the road,” said Coun. Prendergast. He suggested that the left hand gate at the school should be widened and that an opening be made in the dividing wall to let, the lorries through.

The Divisional Education Officer, MT. E. B. Stockdale, said that he would refer the matter to the matter to the Divisional Architect.
