At the West Riding Police Court Saturday, John Thos. Hill, miner, New Conisbro’ was summoned for being an absentee from the York and Lancaster Militia.
The prisoner stated that received a discharge owing illness. It was pointed out a military sergeant that was not an incurable complaint, and that man was liable sent for at any time.
The prisoner was handed over to an escort.
