April 1970

Trained Model, Kim Clark had problems when she came to live in Conisbrough four months ago – for she faced daily journeys to Nottingham or Leeds to work. She planned to go on modelling but these were the nearest agencies. Now she is one of the first girls to sign on as a new agency which is open in Sheffield. Kim (17), of seven, Loughton Way, Conisbrough, worked as a part-time model at Mansfield, where she was manageress of a card boutique.

Why modelling? “I have no idea,” she says, “Ask any model and they never know why – it’s certainly not the glamour side because it is hard work. But there is something about it.” Kim, 36 – 24 – 36, whose hobbies include swimming, will now be concentrating on fashion and photographic modelling.
