ShortIy after Graham Townsend (6), of Denaby, had left Station Road School on Wednesday noon, he ran across the road and was knocked down by a passing car.

He was taken to the Fullerton Hospital and was detained with head injuries.

Mr A. Thompson, 58, Daylands Avenue, was working on scaffolding is Maltby pit last Thursday, when there was a fall of stone, which caught him and inflicted severe injuries. He was taken to Rotherham Hospital, where his condition causes anxiety.

He is one of the Conisboro’ Cricket Clubs most enthusiastic supporters, and members wish him a speedy recovery.
