Accidents at Denaby Main Colliery.

This Day.

Early this morning Robert Good, residing at Denaby, and employed at Denaby Main Colliery, sustained serious, and is feared a fatal, accident, whilst following his work as coal-getter.

A large quantity of coal fell upon him and caused injuries which necessitated ; his removal to the Mexborough Montagu Cottage Hospital, where he was attended to by Dr. Sykes and Dr. Twigg.

He was admitted in almost a hopeless condition; he was suffering from a simple fracture of the right leg and very bad compound commuted fracture of the skull.

Several pieces of bone pressing on the brain were removed by the medical men.

This morning a boy named Rowley was also treated for fracture of the arm, and he is progressing favourably. He is an orphan, and will remain the hospital.
