On Monday at the Doncaster borough police court Fred Clarkson from Conisborough was charged with being drunk and incapable on Sunday morning.
Policeman Ellis proved seeing him near the clock in a state of drunkenness and being Sunday morning he locked him up.
Defendant said he got his drink at the public house at the back of the church and had become lost.
A fine of 5s and costs was inflicted
