An Old Offender.

Mr. Barnett W. Clarkson summoned John Charles Butler, collier, of New Conisboro’ for wilful damage to a fence at Conisboro’ on the 25th ult.

According to the evidence, defendant was seen to allow two dogs to run over Mr. Clarkson’s field, and he himself got over the fence, breaking it down

Mr. Clarkson assessed the damage at a shilling, and Supt. Blokes informed the Bench the defendant had been thirteen times previously convicted, four times this year.

He had to pay 28/- in all.
