Arrived Christmas Eve In Malaya.
Here is a picture of Pte. Stanley Clough, of the K.O.Y.L.I., who is now in Malaya, where he arrived on Christmas Eve. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Clough, of Alexandra Buildings, Denaby Main, and was engaged in the butchery business with his father before enlistment.
He was well known in the village and at the local colliery canteens where he assisted with the meat preparations for the miners’ dinners.
He was always interested in the “South Yorkshire Times” and a copy has been sent to him weekly since his enlistment and he asks to be remembered to all his friends in the area and especially the canteen staffs.
