Denaby´s Away Victory
Denaby had a victory at Bullcroft by over 100 runs, due largely to fine bowling by Porter and Holland, and steady batting by Bateson (42), Porter (37) and Holland (20).
Denaby fared badly against the bowling of Ekins and Allsop and lost six wickets for 66, before Bateson and Porter took the score to 118.
Porter and Holland had a big hand in getting Bullcroft out cheaply. Porter took four wickets for 18 in nine overs, and Holland two for 3.
Bullcroft made only 75 (E. Middleton 11, E. Saddington 22).
